The Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate has been given a blossoming makeover by Japanese artist Hideki Inaba

Shiseido Travel Retail is ushering in the holiday season by unveiling new limited-edition collections from its top prestige brands, Shiseido, Clé de Peau Beauté, Nars and Laura Mercier.

The holiday capsule collections, designed in collaboration with Japanese and international artists, are now available in selected travel retail locations.

The four holiday collections from Shiseido Travel Retail are the Shiseido Beauty Blossoms collection, Clé de Peau Beauté Collection Rêve de Kimono (Kimono Dream), Nars Studio 54 Collection, and Laura Mercier Paint the Town Gold Holiday Collection.

“Our line-up this year taps into the growing trend for a pop of colour, particularly in our core Asian market… we are confident that these collections will inspire travellers who are seeking out gifts and limited-edition make-up sets this festive season” – Shiseido Travel Retail President and CEO Philippe Lesné

The Shiseido Beauty Blossoms collection is made up the Ultimune Power Infusing Concentrate and the Modern Matte Power Lipstick Holiday Mini Lip Bouquet. The Concentrate has has been given a new golden look; while the Mini Lip Bouquet has been revitalised with two new colours: Elemental Rose and Red Force.

The packaging was designed by young Japanese artist Hideki Inaba who was inspired by ‘hyakka-ryouran’ or a ‘riot of flowers’.  According to the brand, the designs pay homage to Shiseido’s Japanese heritage.

The Clé de Peau Beauté Collection Rêve de Kimono (Kimono Dream) was inspired by the Japanese Kimono dress and features the brand’s Radiant Multi Repair Oil, Refined Pressed Powder, Eye Colour Quad, and its limited-edition Lipstick in Silk Passion and Lipstick Cashmere in Red Passion. The lipsticks have been enhanced with Illuminating Hydro Wrap Complex and premium Argan tree oil.

The packaging was jointly crafted by Master kimono-maker, Kyoto Tachibana, who has previously designed bespoke kimonos for Clé de Peau Beauté, and Japanese artist Ayana Otake. It features traditional illustrations of Japanese women or ‘bijin-ga’ wearing Tachibana’s kimonos. As an added flourish, each product in the collection is presented in a folded paper Kimono wrapping case or ‘tatou’, decorated with a Japanese obi sash.

Both the Shiseido Beauty Blossoms and the Clé de Peau Beauté Collection Rêve de Kimono are now available in worldwide travel retail.
