USA. Hospitality platform Servy is ready to launch a mobile ordering and delivery programme at Chicago O’Hare International Airport.
The new service is managed by Grab Chicago joint venture, a collaboration between Servy, Chicago-based Hyde Park Hospitality, and Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield Airports (URW Airports). It enables customers to search, browse, order and pay for food, beverages and retail products from their phones for pick-up or delivery.
“This collaboration is a win-win for our city and our customers” – Chicago Department of Aviation Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee
O’Hare and Midway International Airport are managed by the Chicago Department of Aviation. Commissioner Jamie L. Rhee said: “We are excited to launch an airport-wide digital marketplace and in-terminal delivery service for O’Hare International Airport.
“This collaboration is a win-win for our city and our customers. Not only does it enhance customer choice and convenience, but it also advances local, minority-owned, and small business participation in our airports.”
The Grab Chicago partnership combines Servy’s platform with the local operational expertise of Hyde Park Hospitality, integrated digital and physical marketing led by URW Airports, and in-terminal delivery via AtYourGate.
Servy and URW Airports launched contactless mobile ordering in Terminal 5 in 2020, six months into the COVID-19 pandemic. Set to launch before the 2022 holiday season, the expanded programme is expected to add dozens of new options and in-terminal delivery across terminals 1, 2, and 3.
Servy Chief Experience Officer Jeff Livney said: “Being able to offer digital-ordering options for travellers at airports has become enormously important in recent years as travellers expect more enhanced and connected experiences on their journeys.
“The Grab Airport Marketplace is now an essential tool for airports, allowing their travellers to seamlessly and easily browse offerings available and encourage non-aeronautical spend. We are thrilled to be partnering with the Chicago Department of Aviation, Hyde Park Hospitality, and URW Airports, to further enhance the airport experience at ORD.”
Hyde Park Hospitality President and CEO Marc Brooks commented: “As a Chicago-based 100% minority owned and operated business, we couldn’t be happier to partner with Servy and URW to bring the Grab Airport Marketplace to our home at O’Hare.
“We look forward to merging our vast hospitality and local operational knowledge with Servy’s leading marketplace technology to bring this fantastic, proven product to millions of passengers from around the world.”
“Working with the Chicago Department of Aviation and this world-class joint venture, we are committed to driving innovation at O’Hare while continuing to enhance opportunities for local, minority-owned small businesses” – URW Airports Executive Vice President and Group Director Mike Salzman
URW Airports Executive Vice President and Group Director Mike Salzman added: “We look forward to delivering this proven solution that reduces friction, enhances customer satisfaction, and drives revenue to the benefit of all our airport partners at O’Hare.
“Working with the Chicago Department of Aviation and this world-class joint venture, we are committed to driving innovation at O’Hare while continuing to enhance opportunities for local, minority-owned small businesses.”

The Moodie Davitt Report is inviting submissions for the FAB Superstars Awards 2022.
This second virtual edition of the awards will again shine the spotlight on the thousands of front-of-house and behind the scenes heroes and heroines who have helped keep the food & beverage community within our industry going throughout the challenges of the last year.
In addition, this year’s awards include an important new category, the FAB ESG Awards, which have been introduced to celebrate, recognise and reward those people and initiatives that have made a positive impact in the areas of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG).
The FAB ESG & Superstars Awards will be presented on Tuesday 13 September to conclude the Airport Food & Beverage (FAB) Conference 2022, which is taking place on 12-13 September during The Moodie Davitt Report Virtual Travel Retail Week.
They will recognise and reward the achievements of travel retail employees across airport, airline, downtown store and cruise sectors, and celebrate the strength of the human spirit, resourcefulness and ingenuity in our industry.
