#SafeTogether: L’Oréal Group develops COVID-19 e-learning programme for employees

More than 14,000 employees have already taken the #Safetogether e-learning course

As the world begins to ease out of lockdown, L’Oréal Group has developed an e-learning programme called #Safetogether to help employees adopt social distancing measures at work.

#Safetogether is a 15-minute video tutorial — available in 14 different languages — that updates employees on L’Oréal Group’s workplace health and hygiene protocols. According to the company, these protocols follow World Health Organisation guidelines.

The measures include how to check their health status before coming to work, how to properly wash hands, how to wear a mask and how to adopt enhanced safety precautions in the workplace. The programme also offers interactive quizzes to encourage employee understanding.

Internally, the #Safetogether module is available through online training platform MyLearning. Since its launch, more than 14,000 employees have taken the course. L’Oréal also requires field employees and service providers to take the digital training programme.

L’Oréal has made a version of the course available for public use through online learning platform CrossKnowledge

To maximise the benefits of the module, L’Oréal has made a version available for public use through digital learning company CrossKnowledge. 500 of CrossKnowledge’s corporate partners — such as Kering and Bel Group — will also benefit from the #Safetogether course.

“We are proud to join forces with L’Oréal to support companies and their employees in this critical period of coming out of confinement; and to make our contribution to society by providing access to these training programmes for all,” commented CrossKnowledge CEO and Co-Founder Pascal El Grably.

Kering Director of Human Resources Béatrice Lazat commented, “We are delighted to have the opportunity to use this content which will help employees understand and implement all the essential measures required for a safe return to the workplace. This open source approach reflects the new reality of cooperation between companies in the face of the crisis.”

“At this key time for all companies, we would like to thank L’Oréal for allowing us to benefit from this very comprehensive and well-designed e-learning that will enable us to provide the best possible support for our employees returning to their workplace,” said Bel Group Deputy Managing Director Cécile Beliot.
