Retail inMotion launches “immersive” digital magazine with Eurowings Discover

IRELAND/AUSTRALIA. Airline retail and technology solutions provider Retail inMotion (RiM) has launched an “immersive” digital magazine on Eurowings Discover flights.

As reported, RiM entered an exclusive partnership with Melbourne-based digital magazine publisher e-Mersion Media last year, to focus on expanding the provision of digital content into the international airline and rail markets.

The partners introduced a digital platform to deliver food & beverage and boutique products for Eurowings Discover – the Lufthansa Group’s new leisure airline – on 24 July.

The new digital magazine allows Eurowings Discover passengers to interact with content and explore additional product and brand information via videos, slide galleries, and further features, with no limits to page size or number.

“Offering passengers an interactive digital magazine during COVID-19 and beyond means a safer way to enjoy the onboard offering while reducing weight and logistics associated with print and significantly improving the overall customer experience,” RiM said.

The company believes the digital magazine ensures airlines are offering the “right products to the right people at the right time”. The new platform, RiM added, enables airline advertisers to gain value and profit directly from their advertisements through tracked reader analytics and page interaction.
