Regional President Mike Osorio leaves DFS Group

INTERNATIONAL. Mike Osorio, DFS Group Region President Americas, Pacific Islands, Japan, since September 2014, has left the company after nearly ten years with the world’s leading luxury travel retailer.

Osorio began his DFS career as Managing Director, New Store Development in April 2008, a position he held for over four years. He was then named Group Vice President, Organizational Effectiveness, a role he maintained from November 2008 until August 2011, when he became Senior VP Learning & Development and Chief Learning Officer.

In October 2013, he was named DFS Group Senior Vice President Organizational Change Management, and in September 2014 he was promoted to his most recent role as Region President Americas, Pacific Islands and Japan. In that position he led retail operations and oversaw business development across the Americas, Hawaii, Guam, Saipan and Japan.

His remit included duty free and duty paid stores in international airports, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, New York (JFK), Honolulu, Maui, Guam, Saipan, Okinawa, Kansai and Tokyo (Haneda and Narita), as well as luxury downtown T Galleria by DFS stores in Hawaii, Guam, Saipan, and Okinawa.

After an amicable departure from DFS, Osorio plans to reside in Hawaii while evaluating future options.

Mark Sullivan remains in place as DFS North America Managing Director.
