Read all about it: Lagardère opens newspaper-inspired global food hall at Dubai International

UAE. Lagardère Travel Retail has opened a food hall celebrating global cuisine at Dubai International.

The Daily DXB food hall is located in Dubai International’s Terminal 3. It takes inspiration from a newspaper that shares news from all over the world. The bespoke concept aims to guide travellers on a culinary journey, offering street food from across the globe.

Each of the five dining options in The Daily DXB, in Concourse B, are open 24/7. There is a central seating area so everyone can sit together, no matter what they are eating.

The food hall’s design evokes a relaxed, urban garden setting, Lagardère Travel Retail said. There are open kitchens so diners can watch chefs create their dishes.

Traditional dishes: The Wok stall is inspired by the streets of Hong Kong and other Asian cities.

The Daily DXB also features a range of attractions, including a souvenir photo booth stand, a strength stall, live pizza tossing and vocal and dance shows.

The food hall is organised around five stalls. These are:

The Roost: Evoking the atmosphere of an “industrial chicken cage gym”, fried chicken dishes are on offer – from flavoured ‘Tex-Mex’ style burgers to flavoured chicken drums, wings and tenders. All are served with homemade sauces and dips.

Ruling The Roost: Fried chicken dominates in one of the five stalls at The Daily DXB.

The Wok: Inspired by the streets of Hong Kong and other Asian cities, dishes are freshly prepared in traditional woks. Ingredients are sourced from local markets and marinated in authentic sauces and spices, Lagardère said.

St. Mia: An Italian kitchen (pictured below) where travellers can create their own pizzas, piadinas and pasta dishes, featuring homemade sauces.

Wanna Poke: Hawaiian poke is on offer in this stall, and travellers can create their own poke bowl using fruits, vegetables and dippings.

The Market: A grab-and-go selection of pastries is offered here.

Touching stories: Wanna Poke taps into one of the world’s most significant food trends.
