HUNGARY. Qatar Airways has joined the ranks of sponsors for the BUD Runway Run at Budapest Airport on 3 September.


Runners from airlines, airports and businesses will don their running shoes for the BUD Runway Run

The event, organised by Budapest Airport in association with news and analysis website, invites employees from airlines, airports and aviation enterprises to run on runway 13R-31L to raise money for cancer charities and other child-focused causes.

“Golden Cake Trophies” include Fastest Airport Concessionaire Team, won by a Gebr Heinemann team in 2015, and The Fastest Airline in the World.

All participants will receive ‘The Bron’s Medal’, named after Brontë “Bron” Hogan, the 12-year-old daughter of Publisher Paul Hogan. Courageous Brontë passed away in 2011 after a five-year battle with leukaemia.
