Mariottini will drive Porsche Design’s international sales growth |
Porsche Design has named former Bally VP Global Sales Mimmo Mariottini as its new VP Global Sales and US CEO of Porsche Design of America.
Together with Karsten von Engeln, Chief Operating Officer Porsche Design of America, Mariottini will lead the brand’s US subsidiary.
In his previous position at Bally, Mariottini drove the growth of the company’s global travel retail business. Prior to Bally, Mariottini was Travel Retail Director for Bulgari.
Porsche Design Group CEO Dr. Christian Kurtzke said: “With Mimmo Mariottini, we are excited to have an experienced sales executive join us, and simultaneously drive the internationalisation of our management team. This is a further milestone on the path to positioning the company as a leading lifestyle brand in the area of designer sportswear and accessories for the global business traveller.”
The company has also expanded its watch sales team with three new appointments. Thomas Herzog, who worked for brands such as Cartier and Breitling, will be responsible for developing Porsche Design’s international watch wholesale segment. Oliver Krebs and Henning von Boddien have joined the company’s domestic watch sales team.
“Porsche Design has fantastic products, now we must get our sales up to speed and move the brand forward internationally,” added Dr. Kurtzke.
Porsche Design’s new sales team members will be introduced at the upcoming Baselworld show, where Porsche Design will exhibit independently for the first time with its own booth in hall 1.
