USA. Stellar Partners has finalised the acquisition of Avila Retail Development & Management.
The move adds 25 stores in Albuquerque, Denver, San Francisco, and Phoenix to Stellar’s portfolio. The HMSHost-owned retailer said its aim was to enhance its airport retail footprint in the western region of the USA.
“We are beyond delighted to officially welcome the Avila team to the Stellar family,” said Stellar President and Chief Operating Officer Padraig Drennan.
“Avila’s stores and reputation of operational excellence are highly complementary to our portfolio. With this acquisition, we are ideally positioned to expand the Stellar experience with substantial growth and an established investment in the future. We look forward to the new opportunities this union brings to our guests and the travel industry.”
Avila’s airport retail concepts include Mosaic, Earth Spirit, and Indigenous, which aim to create Sense of Place by showcasing local artists and jewellers. The company was established in 1990 by John and Kathleen Avila.
