CANADA. Paradies Lagardère has partnered with 13 Canadian airports to honour the veterans that served their country.
The company will donate a percentage of sales made in its retail and food & beverage stores on 10 and 11 November to the Royal Canadian Legion’s Poppy Trust Fund. More than 80 stores will be participating in the Remembrance Day initiative.
The Royal Canadian Legion provides financial assistance and support to veterans, including the Canadian Armed Forces and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and their families.
Donations made to the Poppy Trust Fund support food and heating costs, clothing and prescription medication, among other things.
“Paradies Lagardère is committed to providing support to military personnel in both the USA and Canada,” said Paradies Lagardère President and CEO Gregg Paradies.
“The Remembrance Day initiative in our Canadian airports, and our ongoing Treat Our Troops and Feed Our Troops programmes in our US airports, are just small tokens of appreciation for the service and sacrifice those in the military make.”
The participating airports are: Calgary International; Edmonton International; Greater Moncton International; Montréal-Pierre Elliott Trudeau International; Ottawa International; Québec City Jean Lesage International; Regina International; Saskatoon John G. Diefenbaker International; St. John’s International; Toronto Pearson International; Vancouver International; Victoria International; and Winnipeg James Armstrong Richardson International.
Among the outlets participating are iStore, Brooks Brothers, PGA Tour Shops, and Relay.
