BELGIUM. Overseas Distribution Company, a leading duty free distributor active in Europe (including Russia & CIS) and Africa, has named Catherine Dejonghe (pictured) as Sales Director, effective from 23 September.
Dejonghe worked for IDF Belgium (formerly Belgian Sky Shops) from 2009 and was Commercial Director from 2016, responsible for sales and purchasing across all product categories. Her previous career took in posts at KBC Bank, Toyota, Carrefour and JTI.
Overseas Distribution Company said the appointment would lead to “an improved focus on customers’ needs and a closer relationship with partners”.
CEO Eric Demaerel commented: “Catherine Dejonghe will bring additional experience and customer focus to the sales team and will contribute to the development of our company.”
Dejonghe added: “I am impressed by the recent performance of Overseas as one of the biggest distributors in duty free and I am happy to help them achieve ambitious targets for the future.”
