OTG scores a touchdown with in-terminal sports podcast at Newark Liberty

USA. Travel restaurateur OTG has launched an airport sports podcast that is produced live in-terminal at Newark Liberty Airport.

‘Pre-Flight Playbook’ is hosted by former NFL [National Football League] columnist Gary Myers and features live guests from the sports world and questions from the audience. The podcast is primarily focused on American football but also covers both local and national sports.

Making a bold play: The podcast will be broadcast across multiple platforms

The inaugural show will be filmed live at 5pm EST today (28 August) at Terminal C’s Vesper Tavern. Myers will interview Tiki Barber, the all-time leading rusher at NFL team the New York Giants.

The recurring podcast is the first of its kind at an airport, according to OTG. It will be broadcast across multiple platforms including OTG’s 20,000+ in-terminal iPad network, its airport television network ‘OTG Presents’, SoundCloud and social media channels including Vimeo and YouTube.

Host Myers is considered one of the most prolific sports writers in the industry, OTG noted. He has been covering the NFL since 1978 and served for nearly 20 years as the NFL columnist for the New York Daily News. Currently a columnist with The Athletic, Gary also spent 13 years as NFL insider for HBO’s ‘Inside the NFL’.

Myers has also authored numerous books, including New York Times bestseller Brady vs. Manning and the recently-released How ‘Bout Them Cowboys?.
