INDIA. Mydutyfree, which offers a click-and-collect service for travelling shoppers, and Flemingo-run retailer Mumbai Duty Free have announced a partnership.
The collaboration aims to give more visibility to Flemingo’s locations among Mydutyfree’s existing audience in Eastern Europe and the Middle East.
Mydutyfree will offer an additional source of traffic and pre-orders for Mumbai Duty Free. The retailer’s pre-order service allows travellers to shop online and collect on arrival instore at Mumbai Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport T2.
The Mydutyfree online marketplace attracts 150,000 unique visitors per month, according to the company. The app has been downloaded more than 100,000 times, with 5,000 users joining the platform every month.
“This cooperation will give Mumbai Duty Free an opportunity to attract an audience from markets not yet covered by its inbuilt pre-order service,” commented Mydutyfree.
With the new partnership, Mumbai Duty Free becomes the first Mydutyfree partner in South Asia. Mydutyfree said it was planning further expansion in Asia and Europe this year.
