Old Chang Kee makes Changi Airport debut with Curry Times

SINGAPORE. Well-known Sinaporean catering company Old Chang Kee has opened its first outlet at Singapore Changi Airport Terminal 3. The Curry Times all-day casual dining restaurant is the brand’s fourth outlet.

Curry Times offers a wide selection of traditional curries, snacks and healthy options. The restaurant blends nostalgic elements including antiques, illustrations of curry spices and black and white historic photos of Old Chang Kee – which was established in 1956 and is known for its curry puffs.

“[Old Chang Kee’s] name is almost synonymous with Singapore and its launch at Changi Airport, the window to Singapore, is highly appropriate,” the company said.

The outlet also incorporates a takeaway counter at the front of the store, where passengers can buy freshly-baked buns to take away.

“The opening of Curry Times at Changi is an important milestone for the company in increasing its visibility to travellers from abroad,” said Old Chang Kee Executive Chairman Han Keen Juan. “We hope to continue bringing the welcoming flavours of Singapore to other parts of the world in our growth journey.

“We are pleasantly surprised and pleased with the overwhelming response since the official opening of our new outlet.”

The company operates 72 Old Chang Kee outlets in Singapore and 14 across Australia, Indonesia and Malaysia, as well as its four Curry Times restaurants.
