Montblanc Meisterstück UNICEF Special Edition features a blue sparkling sapphire and a gold-plated wreath on the cap

GERMANY. German writing instruments specialist Montblanc has launched in travel retail the Montblanc Meisterstück Special Edition for UNICEF – the company’s first pen specially developed and designed for the children’s aid organisation.

The ‘Signature for Good Special Edition’ product benefits UNICEF’s worldwide education and literacy programmes. “The Montblanc Meisterstück Special Edition for UNICEF emphasises our dedication and engagement for a more literate world,” the company said.

The collection unites the tradition of Montblanc Meisterstück Le Grand and Meisterstück Classique with UNICEF’s signature colour blue and the UN’s emblematic olive wreath. Its distinguishing features are a blue sparkling sapphire and a gold-plated wreath adorning the cap.

The Meisterstück fountain pens in the Signature for Good Edition feature a handcrafted 14ct gold nib, crafted in 35 individual stages, being ground, polished and tested by hand, with rhodium-plated inlay, three gold-plated rings, a gold-plated clip and a precious black resin barrel.

Each one also bears the famous Montblanc emblem on top of the cap. A matching ballpoint pen, rollerball and mechanical pencil with a twist mechanism are also available in the collection, distinguished by the same Signature for Good design elements on the cap.

Montblanc ‘Diva Line’ Special Edition Ingrid Bergman

Paying tribute to acting legend Ingrid Bergman, the new Montblanc Diva Line Special Edition Ingrid Bergman La Donna writing instrument features a sleek black precious resin barrel aiming to reflect Bergman’s statuesque presence and timeless, refined style.

The pen features a pleat-pattern mother-of-pearl-hued lacquered metal cap. This motif alludes to the gathers of a draped skirt – a clothing item worn frequently by Bergman. The red gold plated fittings of La Donna are designed to allude to Bergman’s skill projecting passion on-screen.

The product is available as a cartridge fountain pen, ballpoint and rollerball.

In addition to La Donna, Montblanc has produced a L’Attrice pen, in a 75-piece limited edition, and La Diva, made entirely of 18ct hand engraved solid red gold, festooned with brilliantly cut diamonds.
