BELGIUM. Menno Design, the fine jewellery company founded by twin brothers Menno and Floris Fluit, has achieved many travel retail listings with its wide selection of fine jewellery customised to its clientele.
The unique styles feature pearls, Austrian crystals, fine Italian enamel and are available hand set; in sterling silver; gold plated; or rhodium plated.

The best-selling products in duty free/travel retail are the Gold Silk Necklace, a 30-string, gold-plated necklace described by Menno Fluit as “soft as silk” and “to be worn with a natural elegance”. It is handmade and 40cm (16in) long.
Also performing well is the Queens Regalia Set, an adjustable necklace and earrings. The jewellery is rhodium plated and hand set with white and prisma-coloured Swarovski crystals. The necklace is 40cm (16in) long and the pieces are nickel-free.
In addition, Menno Design has the exclusive right to reproduce in its jewellery designs the Auca – 43 drawings from Salvador Dali. La Couronne/The Crown Necklace is the symbol of the only opera composed by Salvador Dali, who was known worldwide for his intriguing surrealistic paintings. Handmade from 925/1000 sterling silver and finished with fine Italian enamel, the piece reproduces the exact colours used by Salvador Dali.

Menno Design also has a partnership with Dali’s grand surrealistic opera “˜Etre Dieu’.
Explained Menno Fluit: “Salvador Dali is the only painter who also wrote a libretto for an opera-poem called “˜Etre Dieu’ (to be God), a reflection of his personality. The musical magnum opus “˜Etre Dieu’ is an operatic poem in five parts that resolves around the life-long passions birth, death and reincarnation. It presents Dali’s interpretation of the story of creation.
“The opera illustrates the colossal chaos of the imagination of Dali, alternating music and his original voice. The spectacle will be released and go on international concert tour with more than 100 artists, a symphony orchestra and a great choir of voices.”
