Massport updates RFP for Boston Logan duty free, F&B and speciality retail

Massport logo (1)USA. The Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport), owner and operator of Boston Logan International Airport, has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a food & beverage, news, duty free and specialty retail concessions programme at Terminals A, B, C and E. The RFP was first announced in April. The current master concessionaire is Airmall.

The term of the contract will be ten years, commencing on or about 1 July 2017.

Massport said its intention was to award one concession lease agreement for the concession programme, but “reserves the right to select more than one respondent, and to enter into more than one concession lease agreement, to fulfill the duties of the concession programme manager”.

A copy of the RFP and related documents can be found on Massport’s website at: http://www.massport.com/business-with-massport/goods-and-services/rfps/detail/?id=351

A pre-submission conference and networking session will be held on 3 August.  An airport concession site tour will be held on 4 August. To register for either of the events, each attendee must complete the online registration by 26 July at: http://www.massport.com/events/concession-program-rfp-events

Massport said it aims to achieve a balance among three important characteristics of the concession programme: providing competitively priced, high quality goods and services; maximising the financial return to the Authority; and providing a reasonable return on investment to the Master Lessee-Manager and its subtenants.
