DFS has appointed Mark Sullivan as Managing Director, North America, effective 6 June. In this capacity he will report to Mike Osorio, Region President, North America/Pacific Islands/Japan.
Sullivan has enjoyed a successful and varied career at DFS, beginning in store operations as General Manager Union Square in 2000. Before joining DFS, he gained extensive store operations and buying experience at Harrods, Marks & Spencer and Allders International.
He continued his store operations roles at DFS as General Manager SFO and Area General Manager Saipan and Palau before transitioning into Human Resources in 2007 as Human Resources Director, MidPacific. He was promoted into his first corporate role as Vice President Human Resources Store Operations in 2009.
Sullivan’s appointment follows the decision by the highly regarded Parker Gundersen, Vice President Store Operations, North America, to leave DFS at the end of May to pursue a new opportunity as Chief Executive Officer of an online fashion retailer.
