Margueritte departs Coty’s travel retail division as Marquiegui takes over

Highly regarded Coty travel retail executive Philippe Margueritte is leaving the US-based beauty giant after more than 15 years.

Margueritte spent the past six years leading Coty Travel Retail across all its divisions (luxury, consumer and professional) as Senior Vice President Global Travel Retail & Export Europe.

Philippe Margueritte departs Coty after more than 15 years with the beauty house.

Replacing him in the role of Senior Vice President Travel Retail, Coty Luxury, is Txema Marquiegui, effective immediately. Marquiegui, who was previously Senior Vice President Coty Luxury for Europe, has been successfully leading Coty’s luxury business in this region.

Txema Marquiegui brings a wealth of beauty experience to his new role leading travel retail.

In a statement, Coty said that Marquiegui will remain based in Geneva, Switzerland where Coty’s global travel retail team is headquartered. He will continue to report to Coty Luxury Global President Edgar Huber.

Prior to joining Coty in October 2016, Marquiegui spent 12 years with Procter & Gamble and was VP P&G Prestige for two years from October 2014.

The travel retail changes come on the back of top level executive leadership changes announced earlier this month.

Coty is one of the world’s leading beauty companies with approximately $9 billion in annual net revenue. Its high-profile beauty brands in travel retail include Bottega Veneta, Burberry, Calvin Klein, Gucci, Hugo Boss and Marc Jacobs.
