Maestrani and Lagardère Travel Retail join forces in Avelines Princesses launch at Geneva Airport

‘Life is better in pink with Swiss chocolate’ – Avelines Princesses add a royal touch to Geneva Airport

Swiss chocolate specialist Maestrani* has partnered with Lagardère Travel Retail to launch travel retail-exclusive Avelines Princesses at Geneva Airport.

The eye-catching activation, which started on 27 September and will run through October, is backed by a ‘Life is better in pink with Swiss chocolate’ campaign.

Inspired by a traditional Amandes Princesses recipe from Geneva, the Swiss-made Avelines Princesses almond pralines are gift boxed. According to Maestrani, the product is ideal for cross-selling with other categories and targets both gifting and self-treating.

As part of the Geneva Airport promotion, consumers are invited to join a selfie contest. Prizes include a Mavala Switzerland beauty set, Kusmi Tea Green Rose tea, pink pencil from Caran d’Ache and a pair of shoes from Swiss athletic shoe and performance sportswear company On.

Sampling, gift bags and a limited-edition gift tin are also part of the activation, which has brand ambassadors sporting tiaras, Mavala pink manicures and On Cloudnova Form Magnet/Aster shoes.

Avelines Princesses is also supporting the Swiss Cancer Foundation by offering a pink ribbon with every purchase, while travellers have the opportunity to donate to the foundation.

The Avelines praline range was first produced in 1922. The Avelines Princesses recipe includes selected cocoa beans, Swiss whole milk, roasted almond slivers and Madagascan Bourbon ground vanilla. The pralines feature all natural ingredients, are free of alcohol and palm, and cocoa is Fairtrade certified.

*Maestrani is an exhibitor at the forthcoming TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, 1-5 October (Mediterranean Village P10). ✈
