MAC Cosmetics names Blackpink’s Lisa as Global Brand Ambassador

The Estée Lauder Companies-owned makeup brand MAC Cosmetics has named K-Pop Idol Lisa Manobal, aka ‘Lisa’, as its new Global Brand Ambassador.

Lisa is a member of K-Pop girl band, Blackpink. Beginning October, Lisa will be the global face of MAC’s key campaigns and collections. She will also collaborate with MAC Makeup artists to showcase her signature beauty looks and share her personal beauty secrets with MAC Cosmetics’ consumers.

Lisa has a strong influence on pop culture and speaks to a wide range of audiences both in and outside the beauty industry. Known as a beauty risk-taker, Lisa is loved by fans for her charismatic performances and trend-setting fashion style, stated the brand. She is the first female K-Pop idol to be appointed as a MAC Global Brand Ambassador.

Blackpink is one of the world’s most popular K-Pop groups. They are known for their hit songs, ‘Ice Cream,’ ‘Kill This Love’ and ‘How You Like That,’ with the latter becoming YouTube’s most-viewed video in 24 hours. Lisa is also the most followed K-Pop star on social media with over 40 million Instagram followers.
