Lotte Duty Free holds pre-opening concert for Da Nang downtown store

VIETNAM. Lotte Phu Khanh Duty Free, the Vietnamese corporation of Lotte Duty Free, has held a major event to promote the upcoming opening of a downtown duty free store in Da Nang.

The concert, which saw a crowd of over 4,000 see K-pop band NCT Dream and a host of Vietnamese stars perform at the Tien Son Sport Center, was organised under Lotte’s promise to bring Korean culture to Vietnam and promote cultural exchange.

Over 4,000 people, including senior figures from Lotte Duty Free, attended the concert

The downtown duty free store in Da Nang will be Lotte’s fourth store in Vietnam – after openings at Da Nang International Airport in May 2017, Cam Ranh International Airport in June 2018 and Hanoi’s Noi Bai International Airport in July 2019 – and the first downtown duty free shop on the central coast of Vietnam.

Lotte has said the store in central Da Nang will offer a variety of local and global brands, as well as a convenient shopping experience thanks to an airport pick-up service.

The concert was a celebration of Korean and Vietnamese culture

Lotte Phu Khanh Duty Free CEO Suk Won Park, who attended the concert alongside Lotte Duty Free CEO Kap Lee, said: “Lotte Duty Free’s Da Nang downtown store will be a new foundation for the tourism industry in Da Nang. The store will provide [a] luxurious and unique shopping experience to customers by housing both global and local merchandise.

“Utilising K-wave, the big phenomenon in Vietnam, and through all our activities, we believe we can contribute to the development of the city’s tourism and economy. We will also be involved in the local community, creating new jobs and implementing CSR activities.”
