Lotte Duty Free expands presence on YouTube with dynamic content and collaborations

SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free is expanding its presence on video-sharing website YouTube, with more content from top Korean creators and a stronger focus on Korean Wave stars.

The retailer is collaborating with Dia TV, a global content creator network based on K-pop culture. Dia TV is run by South Korean entertainment and retail company CJ ENM.

Yum TV: Lotte Duty Free increased its presence on YouTube today (12 June).

A new YouTube channel will develop the ‘Yum’ marketing campaign that Lotte launched in 2018. The word ‘Yum’ (a reference to something delicious in English) is embodied in Korean and draws on the acronym for Lotte Duty Free, LDF.

Lotte said the new content would encompass a new format of shopping entertainment, with Vlogs (combining video and blogs) featuring beauty and shopping tips, and games. There will be a special focus on overseas locations where Lotte Duty Free shop is present.

The YouTube channel will also highlight some of the next wave of Korean stars, with the collaborations set to boost Lotte’s image.
