De Lesquen has worked with the L’Oréal Luxury Products Division since 1987, and before that, within L’Oréal’s Consumer Products Division.

Before joining Ralph Lauren Fragrances in November 2007 on a strategic mission de Lesquen served as President, Worldwide for Biotherm, where he led its international expansion into skincare, including skincare for men.

From 2002 to 2005 de Lesquen served as Lancôme’s Deputy President, Worldwide. He was also President, Worldwide of Giorgio Armani Parfums from 2000 to 2002, where he oversaw development of the brand’s cosmetics division, most notably in the US and Asia.

De Lesquen began his career in the L’Oréal Consumer Products Division where he successfully launched fragrances such as Naf Naf, Kookai, Daniel Hechter and Harley Davidson. He went on to become Marketing Director first of Gemey Paris and then of L’Oréal Paris, where he strengthened the brand’s position in cosmetics.

“I am convinced that Guillaume’s extensive talent and experience will enable him to lead the Ralph Lauren brand towards success, both in the United States and worldwide,” commented Menesguen.

In other news Lancôme Travel Retail has welcomed on board new make-up artist Petr Blecha, who will focus exclusively on the Europe, Middle East & Africa region.

Of Czech origin, Petr has enriched his experience of make-up via the very different worlds of theatre (Bridewell Theatre), opera (Prague State Opera) and television studios (MTV, BBC, NFTS). He has also developed great team management skills through his extensive work as a consultant make-up artist for various prestigious luxury brands.

Blecha is charged with communicating the Lancôme brand’s expertise and make-up artistry, according to the company. Based in London, he will travel extensively throughout the Travel Retail Europe, Middle East & Africa zone, where he will animate events on podiums and at points of sale. Blecha will also be in charge of organising training and coaching sessions for Lancôme Beauty Advisors.

His event schedule this summer includes:
– In association with Aer Rianta Dublin, animating the airport’s Lancôme make-up corner on every 1st Friday of the month throughout 2008;
– In July, animating World Duty Free points of sale at Heathrow airport (1-3 July) and Shop Intra in Spata, Greece (24-28 July), where he will share his “flash make-up” techniques with customers (quick, useful tips adapted to a travelling clientele);
