Loch Lomond Group CEO Colin Matthews said: “The European Tour is one of the most internationally recognised and respected golf bodies in the world and we are delighted to become a key partner of the UK Swing.

“This new association further extends our already very successful association with the game of golf through our existing sponsorship agreement with The Professional Golfers Association (PGA) and The Royal & Ancient (R&A) for The Open and The Women’s British Open. It also allows us to support the launch of the European Tour’s excellent ‘Golf for Good’ initiative.”

Loch Lomond is already The Official Whisky of The Open and has household names like Colin Montgomerie as brand ambassadors

Golf’s European Tour will resume behind closed doors with two events in Austria. The UK Swing will then begin with the Betfred British Masters on 22 July. This will be followed by the English Open and the English Championship, before The Celtic Manor Resort in Newport hosts back-to-back tournaments. The UK Swing will then conclude with the UK Championships at The Belfry.

European Tour Head of Commercial Partnerships Max Hamilton added: “We are delighted to welcome Loch Lomond Whiskies and their award-winning brands as the first Official Partner of our new UK Swing.

“This innovative stretch of six events marks the start of our new Golf for Good initiative, enabling us to give back during these unprecedented times. Our health strategy is vital to this and Loch Lomond Whiskies will also contribute to that through the provision of hand sanitiser. This is a great example of how brands can work together in different ways at the moment.”

Loch Lomond Whiskies joins line-up at the Virtual Travel Retail Expo

Loch Lomond is among a growing number of brands that have signed up as partners for the Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo.

The unique 5-day ‘live’ event, followed by a 30-day showcase, begins on 12 October, just after the conclusion of the Chinese Golden Week holidays. It features a star-studded series of events across the five days, including a Symposium, category workshops and a new consumer research initiative.

Loch Lomond Global Travel Retail Managing Director André de Almeida said: “In these unprecedented times, the Loch Lomond Group remains committed to global travel retail. Our range of Scotch whiskies have performed strongly since their introduction to the channel three years ago and we are confident that travellers will continue to look for innovation and diversity of offer once they start travelling again.

“We look forward to engaging with retailers worldwide as part of the inaugural Moodie Davitt Virtual Travel Retail Expo. I personally believe that this type of initiative will lead to a future where we continue to meet in person during conferences and exhibitions, with the added facilities and services provided virtually, creating a new hybrid format for the channel.”
