
Groupe L’OCCITANE has appointed Laurent Marteau as Group Managing Director, effective 1 September.
Marteau will report directly to Vice-Chairman and Chief Executive Officer André Hoffmann.
In other recent group news, Estelle de Bure was named as Managing Director, Global Travel Retail, effective from 1 July. She will report to Marteau in his new role.

Marteau brings 20 years of beauty experience to his new role. For 15 years, he worked in various senior management positions with LVMH Group. He joined La Prairie in 2014 as Vice President for Global Travel Retail and Special Channels and became a Board Member in the same year.
In 2020, he was promoted to La Prairie Vice President of Europe, the Americas, Middle East and Africa.
Commenting on Marteau’s appointment, Hoffmann said: “We are delighted to welcome Laurent to further drive our transformation into a global, multi-brand group. His in-depth knowledge of the global beauty industry will be a real asset to accelerate our long-standing omni-channel strategy in our key markets.”
Commenting on the promotion for Estelle de Bure, the company said that it recognises her entrepreneurial leadership since joining in 2010, including successfully developing the Melvita brand and the travel retail business in Asia Pacific more recently.
Prior to joining L’OCCITANE, she worked at L’Oréal for 12 years where she held various roles in marketing, sales and business development for Maybelline, L’Oréal Paris and Kiehl’s.
De Bure will be responsible for driving growth and profitability for the group’s multi-brand travel retail business. In this new post, EMEA & Americas Travel Retail GM Ekaterina Ievleva and Head of Global Travel Retail Marketing Mona L’Hostis will report to her.
