LIQUOR & WINES: Allied Domecq wins major brand awards

UK. Allied Domecq received no less than 39 awards at this year’s International Wine & Spirits Challenge held at the recent London Wine Fair.

These included three gold and four silver medals for their premium wine portfolio and 11 awards for their premium liqueur and spirit portfolio, including two Gold Medals and two of the five trophies available in the competition.

The accolades included wines from the duty free portfolio, including Gold Medals for:

• Montana Ormmond Estate Chardonnnay 2000
• Clos du Bois Alexander Valley Reserve Chardonnay 2000
• Clos du Bois Alexander Valley Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve

Amongst the highlights of the spirit and liqueur awards were Gold Medals for:

• Beefeater Crown Jewel
• Laphroaig Cask Strength

And prestigious trophies awarded for:

• Ballantines 17 year old
• Laphroaig 30 year old
