Lindt & Sprüngli will launch two new festive gifting ranges at the TFWA Asia Pacific Exhibition & Conference in Singapore (B2 H2).
The Golden Glamour Collection builds on the success of the Lindor and Swiss Masterpieces lines. It includes the 400g Lindor Golden Glamour Tube with five flavours, including Lindor Caramel, and the 266g Swiss Masterpieces Golden Glamour box. Both are exclusive to travel retail and feature flavours not available in the permanent Lindt duty free assortment. All products will be available from August 2017.

The Chinese New Year Edition collection features the 400g Lindor tube, 500g Assorted Napolitains and 150g Lindt Minipralines.
Lindt & Sprüngli cites Asia as a very important market for growth and said that increased travel restrictions in the region (luggage restrictions, arrivals focus, legal regulations etc) mean that regional confectionery consumption is expected to rise and purchases abroad will become more limited.
Lindt & Sprüngli Global Duty Free Division Head Peter Zehnder said: “Despite the tough market environment in Asia, there is a huge opportunity for Lindt, particularly in the gifting sector.

“We have continued to steadily increase our market share in Asia over the past three years, and look forward to building on this progress. According to TRAQ, Lindt is one of the fastest growing brands, driving the premium category and continuously increasing space and visibility in Asia, but there is still huge capacity for further growth.”
Zehnder said Lindt’s focus on providing its Asian customers with seasonal gifting selections was prompted by research which indicated that gifting is the most important purchase motivator for Asians. The research also ranked Asians as the traveller group who gift most.
