MALAYSIA. AirAsia is capitalising on the recently-established Langkawi travel bubble with the launch of AirAsia travelmall through its Super App. The venture is a first-of-its-kind platform that offers a convenient digitised and contactless duty free shopping service.
In a first for the Asean region, Langkawi visitors are now able to choose tax free products across a wide range of categories online via the AirAsia travelmall.
As well as benefiting from duty free prices, customers can enjoy same-day delivery whereby purchased items will be delivered to their designated location or hotel at the hour they choose.

In conjunction with the launch, AirAsia travelmall is offering up to -70% off Langkawi duty free items between today (30 September) and 31 October.
There is free delivery for orders with a minimum spend of RM50 (US$12), with further discounts available for AirAsia flight guests.
AirAsia Super App CEO Amanda Woo said: “In line with AirAsia’s strong commitment to making the Langkawi travel bubble a success, we are thrilled to collaborate with the Langkawi Development Authority to offer a new digital and contactless duty free shopping experience with an island-wide and same-day delivery across Langkawi.

The Langkawi resort island became the first holiday location in Malaysia to reopen after a lengthy lockdown that restricted domestic and international travel on 16 September. It was chosen as a pilot destination for travel by fully vaccinated domestic tourists initially.
