Lancôme aims to attack cellulite with Slim Success – 20/02/06

FRANCE. L’Oréal Produits de Luxe International has created a new body product from Lancôme, called Slim Success Anti-Cellulite Attack Serum. It is already available in Europe and will be introduced to the US in March.

Reportedly inspired by the surgical liposuction process, the product contains a complex designed to both fragment the fat that builds up inside adipocytes (fat-storing skin cells), and also help to evacuate this fat outside the cell membrane: a process L’Oréal describes as “cellular liposuction”.

The result is slender thighs, re-contoured hips, a slimmer waistline, reshaped buttocks and cellulite that is visibly reduced over the long term, according to the company.

A key active ingredient of Slim Success is caffeine, known for its ability to break down fat stores. Another innovation is Lipolyzer, a concentrated complex said to augment the anti-lipid activity of pure caffeine, and boost the release of fat.

The Slim Success formulation is described as light, non-greasy and easily absorbed. It is presented in a 200ml pump dispenser, priced domestically at €42.
