Coty brand Lancaster has unveiled its new Full Light Technology, which is said to protect skin against 100% of the known solar spectrum.
The technology, which was developed after seven years of research, works by absorbing, reflecting and neutralising the different waves to minimise their harmful effects on the skin.

Lancaster Laboratories Vice-President of Research and Development Dr. Olivier Doucet said: “UVB are responsible for burning; UVA accelerate premature ageing; infrared rays and visible light penetrate even deeper so also play a key role in premature ageing.”
According to Doucet, the Full Light Technology is the “broadest sun protection that Lancaster has ever created”.
The first products to contain the new technology are:

– Sun Beauty SPF 50 Comfort Touch Cream (75ml) and Sun Beauty Velvet Cream SPF 50 (400ml), now available in larger sizes.
– The 365 Sun Compact SPF 30, which adds a lightly tanned glow to the complexion while protecting skin against environmental damage. The emollient formula is designed to feel comfortable on the skin and claims to be able to extend a user’s tan when used with Lancaster’s Tan Activating Complex (TAC).
– Lancaster’s Sun Control range, including Sun Control Face SPF 50 (50ml) and Sun Control Body Exposed SPF 50 (125ml), which is said to fight the appearance of pigmentation marks and premature skin ageing.
Founded in Monaco in 1946, Lancaster’s highlights include: becoming official purveyor to Her Serene Highness Princess Grace of Monaco in 1970; incorporating UVA filters into all Lancaster sun care formulas in 1997 and adding infrared protection in 2012.
According to Lancaster, it holds over 500 international patents.
