Lagardère Travel Retail pilots Camicissima entry into French airport retail

FRANCE. Milan-based fashion brand Camicissima has entered the French travel retail market for a test period with Lagardère Travel Retail. The brand’s range is available initially through dedicated corners at Marseille and Lyon airports, with Nice and Bordeaux to follow.

The Camicissima corners offer shirts from the brand’s Permanent collection and a knitwear range aimed at business travellers through an exclusive travel promotion.

Fabio Candido, President of brand owner Fenicia SpA, said: “The goal of these openings, which lead us to experiment with the corner format, is to increase Camicissima touchpoints on a global scale. [We] aim to intercept new international users and test new markets such as the French one.”

The company said it hoped the new openings will lead to further locations and larger spaces, and eventually dedicated monobrand stores in the channel.
