GERMANY. Lagardère Travel Retail has opened a new fashion and souvenir store, Very Berlin, at Berlin-Schönefeld Airport.
The 40sq m Very Berlin store, the brand’s first ever, opened on 15 December and is inspired by the “Berlin way of life”.
The space features an industrial design with materials such as wood and steel. The cash register area includes an integrated DJ mixer under its glass surface.
Very Berlin products have a direct reference to the German capital and include t-shirts, sweatshirts, jackets, bags, umbrellas and postcards.
Very Berlin was founded by well-known Berlin designer and DJ Timo Röpcke (also known as DJ Ultimo) and is part of fashion brand LOOK54.
Lagardère Travel Retail Travel Essentials COO Friederike Martens said: “At this highly frequented location, we reach travellers, airport visitors and Berlin tourists to inspire them with our Very Berlin range of extraordinary fashion and Berlin souvenirs.”
