Lagardère Travel Retail and Costa win fourth Czech Republic Superbrands award

CZECH REPUBLIC. A collaboration between Costa Coffee and Lagardère Travel Retail has scooped a Superbrands award as the overall winner for the Czech Republic for the fourth year in a row.

The two retailers joined forces in 2008 when Lagardère Travel Retail completed a master franchising agreement, which now sees it operate 62 stores for the globally-awarded coffee brand across the Central European country.

The cafés are situated across multiple channels including airports, stations, shopping malls and the high street, with 12 of them in travel locations.

Sixty-two Costa cafés are run by Lagardère Travel Retail across the Czech Republic

Lagardère Travel Retail said: “We are committed to delivering the highest level of customer care, and our commitment to offer unique experiences has been recognised again this year with the Superbrands award.

“The Superbrands organisation recognises brands which have established the finest reputation in their field, and because they offer customers significant emotional and tangible advantages.

“This is the fourth time we have received this award, which recognises the brand’s excellent position in the local market and its special connection to customers.”

All of the Costa cafés run by Lagardère Travel Retail in the Czech Republic are supporting the Costa Coffee Foundation, which builds schools in coffee-producing countries.

Half of the profit from the sales of special coffee drinks is donated to CCF for the duration of the campaign.
