La Prairie and CDFG celebrate Skin Caviar Liquid Lift with VIP event in Sanya

CHINA (HAINAN). Swiss prestige skincare brand La Prairie has partnered with China Duty Free Group (CDFG) to host the brand’s first-ever VIP event in Hainan to celebrate the Skin Caviar Liquid Lift line.

The event, which was hosted at The Sanya EDITION from 22 to 25 July, welcomed 120 VIP clients who were transported via luxury limousine for the elegant unveiling.

To celebrate the occasion, La Prairie took over the EDITION villa and transformed it into an engaging and immersive La Prairie Skin Caviar World.

VIP clients learned more about the caviar science behind the serum and the efficacy that underpins its potent formula.

They were treated to one-to-one ‘Art of Perfection’ luxury skincare experiences and enjoyed caviar canapés and premium Champagne. As a final flourish, the VIPs received exclusive gifts before being returned to their hotels via limousine.

‘Defying gravity’

As with all major La Prairie launches, the event featured a striking artistic collaboration, this time with French visual artist Cyril Lancelin. His sculptural piece ‘96 Spheres’ was commissioned by La Prairie and presented at the VIP event.

96 Spheres is a “creative metaphor of time and life” and was designed around the concept of the half. The piece plays with notions of volumes, solids and negative spaces. The sculptural artwork builds on the spherical silhouette of La Prairie’s signature caviar beads and features an array of metal gold spheres ‘defying gravity’ by appearing to emerge and ascend from the floor.

Skin Caviar Liquid Lift is La Prairie’s first ‘gravity-defying’ serum. It was originally launched in 2012 and was developed as a tribute to the caviar beads of the brand’s popular Skin Caviar Collection.

The line was relaunched in 2020, enriched with La Prairie’s Exclusive Cellular Complex, which was inspired by Founder Dr. Paul Niehan’s research on skin rejuvenation.

Skin Caviar Liquid Lift features a potent combination of Caviar Premier and Caviar Absolute, two of La Prairie’s latest caviar science milestones. Caviar Premier was developed as a mimetic fingerprint of natural caviar’s chemical composition.

Caviar Absolute is a highly concentrated form of caviar, which is obtained using a complex extraction process that isolates caviar oils and proteins. Both ingredients are combined to create an enhanced lifting and volumising effect on the skin, resulting in a powerful anti-ageing serum.

The Skin Caviar Liquid Lift is packaged in an updated version of the brand’s signature cobalt blue dual-pump bottle. The bottle is accented with a sleek silver frame and houses the caviar in two separate chambers. It also features a chrome pump that distributes both caviar formulas evenly.
