SINGAPORE. Omnichannel retailer has launched a blockbuster April promotion offering up to -60% off more than 600 items and -15% off most other products sitewide with a S$200 (US$140) minimum spend

The promotion runs from today, 9 April, to 24 April. Offers cover a wide gamut of products, including duty paid liquor, beauty, home décor and electronics.

KrisShop is a three-way joint venture between Singapore Airlines (70%), Miami-based travel retailer 3Sixty Duty Free (15%) and ground services provider SATS (15%) formed in March 2018. As revealed by The Moodie Davitt in an on location report on 21 August 2019, KrisShop was relaunched as a fully-fledged omnichannel ecommerce and lifestyle portal – a capability that seems sure to serve it well given the current travel restrictions into and through Singapore.

With international flights severely reduced, KrisShop is focusing instead on its ecommerce activities, deploying its home delivery capabilities within Singapore. Only citizens and permanent residents of Singapore are currently permitted to enter or transit through Singapore due to the current ban on all short-term visitors. Singapore Airlines is operating a limited flight schedule to Europe, the US, Asia and Australia.

The April promotion features a site-wide 15% discount for regular-priced items (with some brand exceptions). As an additional incentive to purchase, the minimum spend for free local delivery in Singapore has been lowered from S$100 (US$70) to S$50 (US$35)

The omnichannel capability means the KrisShop range extends outside traditional travel retail confines. It includes items from Singapore’s renowned purveyor of fine Chinese tea, Teaspec; and chocolate bars from local  bean-to-bar craft chocolate maker, Fossa.

From Singapore, and KrisShop, with love: With Love, SG is one of six concept stores, curated to showcase Singapore’s culture and heritage. The product offer ranges from food to fashion, to beauty, home and living.

Regular flyers can log in with their KrisFlyer account and earn 1.5 KrisFlyer miles for every S$1 spent online. “If you’ve got miles to spare before the expiration date rolls around, pay for your purchases with those miles,” the retailer tells customers in a smart move given the current travel hiatus.

The company underlines its online and home-delivery capability, noting: “KrisShop is an omnichannel retailer with a collection of products and content thoughtfully curated for shoppers both inflight and online so you can shop even without flying.
