HUNGARY. Kam Jandu is stepping down from his role as the Chief Commercial Officer at Budapest Ferenc Liszt International Airport. He will leave the airport company by mutual agreement after 11 years, on 15 December.
Jandu, who initially joined the airport in 2009 as Aviation Director and switched to the CCO role in 2013, will take a break before pursuing new work opportunities in 2021.
As CCO, Jandu was responsible for Budapest Airport’s airline and commercial marketing, commercial passenger services and, as of this year, cargo operations.
Recent highlights of Jandu’s time at the airport include his team winning an accolade for Best Airline Marketing at the World Routes Marketing Awards in 2019 and recognition for environmental efforts in retail, at the recent Travel Retail Awards.
In a statement, the airport operator thanked Jandu for his “successful and committed work”. Reciprocating, Jandu expressed his gratitude to the shareholders, the Board of Directors, the management and his team for their support during his time at the airport.
