SOUTH KOREA. Lotte Duty Free is supporting the production of foreign language menus for tourist restaurants in Seoul’s Myeongdong district.

The move is part of a wider initiative aimed at improving the tourist experience in the area and currently has about 30 backers, including the Seoul Metropolitan Government.

The companies and organisations involved have come together to support the design and production of the menus as well as the translation services needed. Lotte Hotel will advise on the cooking process and hygiene at selected restaurants.

Lotte Duty Free said it would raise awareness of the initiative through its homepage and other channels.

The initiative will be extended to other Seoul neighbourhoods in due course.
