JES Travel Retail to support Brennerei Schraml’s Stonewood whisky launch in travel retail

Bavarian distillery Brennerei Schraml has launched its Stonewood whisky range into global travel retail. The family-owned company has appointed JES Travel Retail, based in Nideggen, Germany to provide consultancy for expansion in the channel. It has also appointed German commercial agency Gustamus to mange travel retail accounts in the DACH region (Germany, Austria, Switzerland).

Brennerei Schraml offers four whiskies from its Stonewood range, a 3, 5, 7 and 10 Year Old. As Germany has several big upcoming events such as Oktoberfest in Bavaria; the Special Olympics in Berlin (June 2023); and hosting the UEFA football championships in 2024, the company believes the time is optimum to introduce multiple support initiatives for travel retail.

The company is based in Alte Propstei in Erbendorf, Bavaria on the site of a former Benedictine monastery. Brennerei Schraml is Germany’s oldest whisky distillery, still owned by the Schraml family after 200 years. The Stonewood brand takes its name from the nearby Steinwald Nature Park, which is famous for its untouched beauty.
