VIETNAM. Imex Pan Pacific Group (IPP Group) is working closely with the Kiên Giang provincial authorities to establish the country’s first-ever Free Trade Zone (FTZ) shopping complex.
The IPP Group masterplan* also includes the development of a premium outlet; hotel, casino and MICE (meetings, incentives, conference & exhibition) facilities; indoor entertainment; a healing resort; and a range of property developments.
“Phú Quoc [a beautiful island in Kiên Giang -Ed] is in need of a downtown hub,” said IPP Travel Retail Chief Executive Officer Phillip Nguyen in a social media post. “The Airport City complex together with the FTZ is the ideal location to gather for fun under the sun and when it gets too hot, indoor facilities will be waiting.
“We are looking forward to exciting land development projects in parallel to other projects moving forward.”
Phú Quoc, often dubbed as ‘Pearl Island’ or ‘Emerald Island’, is located in the Gulf of Thailand, 45km from the southern tip of mainland Vietnam. It boasts some of Asia’s most beautiful beaches
*Note: Look out next month for our in-depth Vietnam report in which we speak about this and other projects with Phillip Nguyen and his father Johnathan, IPP Group Founder & Chairman of IPP Group and a legend of the Vietnamese travel retail, aviation and tourism sectors.
