“Introducing a new world”: Furla presents Spring/Summer 2020 collection

Furla will highlight its Spring/Summer 2020 collection at this year’s TFWA World Exhibition (Bay Village, Bay 2).

Furla said the range, featuring the brand’s new archway logo, introduces a “new Furla world” and opens a fresh chapter in the Italian company’s long history.

Furla introduces its “must-have” Furla 1927

The logo is inspired by the architecture of the archway, reminiscent of Bologna’s famous Portici and the archway of Fondazione Furla. According to Furla, this emphasises the brand’s values of openness, inclusivity, joy, creativity and passion.

Furla’s Spring/Summer 2020 collection was presented at the Palazzo Isimbardi, one of Milan’s historical palaces, on 18 September. The event attracted international media coverage and celebrities and influencers including Italian singer Levante; Italian actresses Miriam Leone, Alice Pagani, Matilda De Angelis and Chiara Baschetti; Spanish actress Maggie Civantos; as well as Sumire, Mr. Bags, Chen Yuqi, Zhang Jianing, Nikki Min, Ava Foo, Faye Tsui and Kiwi Lee.

Furla describes the S/S line-up as an “elegant and sophisticated” collection of shapes and colours which combine Italian craftsmanship with contemporary beauty. It features classic black and white, apricot and peach, cognac and burgundy and floral designs in pink/white/black reminiscent of the 1960s.

Highlights include the Furla 1927, Furla Pillow and Furla Piper.

The soft-coloured Furla Piper is available in three shapes, including a belt bag

The “must-have” Furla 1927 bags are the first to include the arch as a structural element to underline brand identity. The Furla Pillow is a variation of the Furla 1927, a crossbody in soft nappa leather in pastel tones and with side gussets to increase the bags’ capacity.

Furla Piper features the new font logo and a turn-lock metal detail shaped like an arch. The bags are available in Ares calf leather, in three shapes (dome, belt bag, backpack) and in soft colours.
