Our regular feature celebrates memorable scenes, moments, launches and campaigns related to the global aviation and travel retail sphere.

Today’s images represent a typically vibrant celebration of airport shopping from Portugal Duty Free as the retailer celebrated its first anniversary on Friday, 1 June.

Portugal Duty Free, a partnership between Vinci Airports group company ANA Aeropuertos de Portugal and Aer Rianta International (ARI), opened for business on 1 June 2022.

The partnership runs duty free and duty paid retail concessions across eight airports in Portugal – Lisbon, Porto, Faro, Madeira Islands (Madeira and Porto Santo), and Azores Islands (Ponta Delgada, Santa Maria and Horta).

In a social media post, Portugal Duty Free said: “We thank all our employees and partners for their daily enthusiasm and commitment that took us where we are today – a growing company, full of energy and solid results.  We will continue to work every day with ambition to offer the best to our customers.” ✈
