Travel retailers in India and around the world are today celebrating Diwali (or Deepavali), the famed Indian festival of lights, which celebrates the triumph of good over evil. Here we present some of our favourite images.

Leading the celebrations is Bacardi Global Travel Retail’s launch of a major omnichannel campaign for Dewar’s Scotch whisky to mark Diwali.

Alongside activations at 14 airports in India, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Europe, ‘Diwali deserves Dewar’s’ is being showcased with a makeover of The Moodie Davitt Report home page.

Diageo Global Travel is marking Diwali with limited-edition Johnnie Walker Gold Icons and Johnnie Walker Gold Label Reserve available in selected airports around the world. Travellers celebrating this year’s festival of light will also receive a free gift bag with every purchase of Johnnie Walker Gold.

The offer is available to passengers in Delhi, Dubai, Mumbai, Singapore and Thailand airports. Shoppers in Delhi and Mumbai can also explore a new interactive experience where they can take a Diwali-themed photograph to make it a moment to remember.

 

 

 

Welcoming the Diwali light onboard Emirates flights: Diwali delicacies are being served on certain flights and in selected lounges throughout the festival. Traditional treats include motichoor laddu, mixed nut tribooj, dal kachori and vegetable samosas.
