Ian Macleod Distillers has expanded its global travel retail offer with the launch of a cask-strength Scotch whisky, ‘As We Get It’.
The Highland single malt is part of the company’s new Exclusive Speciality Malt Collection which is exclusive to the channel. The range also includes The White Cask Speyside and Shieldaig Highland single malts and The Six Isles blended malt expression.
As We Get It takes its name from a straight-from-the-cask bottling process. The expression is un-chill filtered at cask strength and has a natural colour.
As We Get It is bottled in small batches of 15 and 20 casks. With no two batches the same, the whiskies’ colour, strength (ABV ranges from 50% to 63%) and flavour profile change with each bottling.
Exclusive batches for travel retail will be selected by the company’s malt master and presented in new look packaging with batch-specific numbering. The 70cl As We Get It has a duty free recommended retail price of £60 (US$67), with roll-out starting from January.
