HMSHost opens Kelly’s Roast Beef at Boston Logan International Airport

USA. HMSHost has partnered with Master ConcessionAir to open a Kelly’s Roast Beef at Boston Logan International Airport.

The Terminal B outlet is part of the airport’s new dining programme, which aims to offer travellers local flavours.

Kelly’s Roast Beef – the “creator of the original roast beef sandwich” – opens at Boston Logan International Airport.

HMSHost Vice President of Business Development Anthony Alessi said: “With more than 60 years of tradition, Kelly’s Roast Beef is the ideal restaurant to share the culture of New England cuisine with airport passengers and HMSHost is proud to have Kelly’s as a partner in Boston.

“It is an honour to be able to share this local icon with the travellers at Boston Logan International Airport and we thank Massport and airport concessions developer and manager MarketPlace Development for their partnership on this achievement.”

Kelly’s Roast Beef was established in 1951 and is dubbed the “creator of the original roast beef sandwich”.

The airport outlet specialises in sandwiches, lobster rolls and local seafood. Its dishes include USDA Choice roast beef sandwiches, fish and chips made with North Atlantic whitefish, fried whole-belly clam plate with tartar sauce, and New England-style clam chowder.

Counter service, grab-and-go, and a full-service bar featuring Samuel Adams seasonal brews and Ipswich Pale Ale are available.

The new restaurant adds a dash of local flair to the airport’s dining options.

Kelly’s Roast Beef Vice President/Director of Operations Dan Doherty commented: “We are extremely excited to open a location at Boston’s Logan Airport.

“We see this as an opportunity to better serve our customers when travelling on business, vacationing or just going back home for a visit. They now can take Kelly’s to go or enjoy it at the terminal.”

HMSHost said the opening of Kelly’s is the first update as part of a new ten-year contract to operate 14 food & beverage locations at Boston Logan International Airport. Future openings will feature James Beard award-winning chefs and other local dining favourites.
