HMSHost International captures five-year F&B contract at Bali International Airport

INDONESIA. HMSHost International has won a new five-year food & beverage contract at Bali Ngurah Rai International Airport, following a tender. HMSHost opened its first outlet at the airport in 2013.

The Autogrill division said the new concession is expected to yield sales of more than €59 million over the term. It will open five new stores, which it said will deliver “innovative concepts that will meet the needs of such a diverse clientele as that which passes through Bali every year”.

Alongside well-known local brands like Sisterfields, HMSHost created bespoke brands such as Espresso Bar and FRESH (more below).

HMSHost Asia Pacific Regional Director David Mackay said, “HMSHost is excited to continue its Bali journey for another five years. Since our entry in 2013, we have established ourselves as the main F&B operator across the International Terminal and have enjoyed a strong collaboration with Angkasa Pura I along the way. We look forward to developing these exciting new concepts and beginning a journey with the Sisterfields brand, an iconic ‘must visit’ location in downtown Seminyak. HMSHost is proud to be bringing memorable F&B experiences to Bali international passengers.”

“We are delighted to welcome back HMSHost International as our F&B business partner at Bali I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, and have awarded them the F&B commercial tender for the next five years. We sincerely appreciate HMSHost International’s steps to maintain its interest to operate at I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport amid the lagging demand of passenger traffic due to Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, we believe that international passenger traffic will immediately rebound once the international border is fully reopened and international flights begin to restart again,” said Faik Fahmi, President Director of Angkasa Pura I.
