“Handcrafted fresh and fast”: Asian-inspired casual dining operator Pei Wei opens at Washington Dulles

USA. Asian-inspired casual dining chain Pei Wei has opened an outlet at Washington Dulles International Airport (IAD), in partnership with Paradies Lagardère.

The location, which represents the tenth US airport site for the brand, promises to deliver food “fresh and fast”, including a breakfast menu unique to the Virginia gateway.

Pei Wei is located in Terminal B across from Gate 71, and its opening hours are from 5.30am to 10pm daily. Menu highlights include its Wok-Fresh Entrées such as Honey Seared Chicken (see video below) and Mongolian Steak with soy sauce, scallions, garlic and white mushrooms.

Food and drink can be consumed on the premises or ordered to go, and the specially-crafted breakfast menu for IAD includes traditional cooked Western dishes with a spicy Asian twist.

“We’re proud to bring Pei Wei’s unique, Asian-inspired, fast-casual experience to the Washington Dulles International Airport,” explained Pei Wei Director of Operations – Global Brand Development Steve Winters.

“Whether dining in the airport or taking to go, guests can customise their orders because all dishes are handcrafted fresh and fast.”

Paradies Lagardère Senior Vice President for Food & Beverage Bill Casey added: “Paradies Lagardère tailors brands to entice travellers in a variety of ways, including bringing the familiar quality, taste and atmosphere of a favourite national brand into an airport.

“Pei Wei is not only delicious, but the brand’s high-quality food standards mirror our own. We’re excited to introduce another great dining concept to IAD for passengers to enjoy.”

Pei Wei’s other airport locations include Salt Lake City International, McCarran International in Las Vegas, Minneapolis St. Paul International, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta, John Wayne Airport/Orange County and Phoenix International.
