The celebratory event, which coincided with the inaugural China International Consumer Products Expo in Hainan, was held on the third floor of the new store opened in late 2020.

“Thank you very much for the 14 official brand zones created by L’Oréal Group in Hainan Tourism Duty Free City,” said Xie Zhiyong. “We look forward to having more in-depth exchanges and cooperation with L’Oréal Group in the future.”

Xie Zhiyong, Chairman and General Manager of Hainan Tourism Investment Duty Free Co (HTDF) pledged constant improvement in the product range and a strengthening of relationships with global brands

He said that the Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex had been open for less than half a year, and that the introduction of brands is still work in progress. The company is constantly expanding and developing its product range, he added.

The next main goal is to shorten the incubation period and speed up replenishment as soon as possible, Xie noted.

To achieve that, HTDF said that it will leverage its strength in brand resources, buying capabilities, and distribution while also strengthening its ties with global brands. The company said it will also actively carry out negotiations, cooperation and procurement activities.

“At the same time, we will continue to introduce new marketing methods so that our store better benefits the tourism consumer audience, while constantly improving service quality. We will also assist the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port and the high-quality development of the tourism economy.

“In the future, in line with domestic and foreign trends, more popular brands will be introduced to continuously enrich consumers’ more diversified shopping needs,” Xie pledged.

L’Oréal Group stated that in line with its vision of ‘Beauty for all travellers’, it was looking forward to more exciting brand launches at Hainan Tourism Duty Free Shopping Complex in the near future.

The company said that its portfolio forms a unique and powerful brand matrix that creates an outstanding shopping experience that combines in-store environments with unique travel-specific products.
