Belgian chocolatier Guylian is introducing new travel retail exclusive products and a refreshed Master’s Selection at this week’s TFWA World Exhibition (Mediterranean Village P19).
As reported, Guylian named Sven Adriaenssens as Senior Channel Manager Travel Retail & Duty Free earlier this year. His newly created role supports the company’s strategic plan to relaunch the Guylian brand – famed as the original Belgian chocolate seashells producer – with a focus on optimising assortment and global distribution.
Rebranding has included a new look, improved recipe and packaging and underlines the brand’s commitment to sustainability. All new packaging is fully recyclable as the brand seeks further ways to reduce the use of paper and plastic.

Since the beginning of this year, the production site in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, is climate neutral, with CO2 emissions reduced to the lowest possible level. Palm oil and soya have not been used in the brand’s production processes since 2018.
Guylian also emphasised its Fairtrade commitment, with US$500,000 in Fairtrade bonuses going to West African cacao farmers and their cooperatives in the brand’s supply chain.

Dubbed as a “gourmet souvenir” the Guylian Master’s Selection is now presented in 100% plastic-free packaging, in 117g (16 chocolates) and 185g (25 chocolates) cardboard boxes. The selection includes Coffee Cardamom, Mocha, Almond Praliné, Caramel Pineapple, Signature Praliné and Orange flavours.
The wider travel retail range includes the “all-time classic” Seashells which are available in 250g and 500g packs and a 3+2 multipack.

Guylian’s Temptations Mix offers six flavours – Original Praliné, Dark Praliné, Milk Truffle, Crunchy biscuit, Caramel and Coffee – in cylindrical packaging and there is a new 414g Multi Pack of 2x125g Seashells and 2x82g Dark Praliné Seahorses.
Multi Pack Tablets features three flavours – Creamy Milk, Salted Caramel, Dark 72% and Dark 72% Raspberry and the line-up also includes 215g Assortments Le Gourmet and 305g Les Exclusives.
