Gucci Cosmetics makes UK debut with World Duty Free Group

UK. Gucci Cosmetics has made its UK retail debut with World Duty Free Group (WDFG) at London Heathrow Terminal 5. Outside of T5, until at least December, the collection can only be purchased at www.gucci.com and at UK Gucci boutiques.

The Gucci Cosmetics counter features a striking design and consultation area, with the aim of delivering a luxurious and individual experience to passengers, WDFG maintains. Make-overs and general advice is on offer from advisors that have been trained by a leading Gucci make-up artist.

In the UK, Gucci Cosmetics will be available exclusively at Heathrow T5 until at least December

The Gucci Cosmetics collection comprises more than 200 products, all of which are said to incorporate Gucci design signatures and sophisticated technology. The debut line-up includes a Gucci palette, and Gucci eye, face, lip and nail products, in addition to brushes and special prep products.

The Collection aims to emphasise the link between beauty and fashion; make-up is a key element of Gucci’s runway shows.

WDFG Category Buying Manager for Cosmetics – UK Suzanne Rudkin commented: “We could not be more delighted to be the first UK retailer to launch Gucci Cosmetics, both in and outside of the travel retail sector.

The collection is already proving popular among passengers seeking luxury products

“At WDFG we pride ourselves on carrying the most prestigious beauty brands on the market and this collection is already proving extremely popular amongst Heathrow’s T5 passengers seeking luxury products. We look forward to being a part of Gucci Cosmetics’ successful journey as it develops in 2015.”

Gucci Cosmetics was co-created by make-up artist Pat McGrath. “This collection is designed to belong in a make-up artist’s kit but also to be a woman’s trusted beauty product,” she explained. “We spent a long time perfecting a precise balance of technology and finishes, which are unique and unmistakably Gucci. They are so professional that they can be used backstage or effortlessly applied by women at home.”
